Stan's No Tubes Arch S1
$289.00
Stan’s S1 wheelset line brings patented tubeless technology to an even wider range of riders. Built for long life, low maintenance, and outstanding value, the S1 series wheels feature 6061 series alloy rims and are available in six different widths suited to a wide range of tire sizes and riding styles. With an emphasis on value and durability, the S1 alloy wheelsets join a mountain wheel line-up that currently includes Stan’s successful MK3 premium alloy wheels and innovative Valor and Bravo carbon series wheelsets. While MK3 wheelsets are built to balance strength, light weight, and stiffness, S1 wheelsets focus on maximum strength and durability. The deeper profile and thicker walls of the S1 rims result in a 50-70g weight increase over MK3 rims, but offer greater impact strength for an even wider range of use. “The new S1 series wheels were developed from rims ridden in Redbull Rampage and raced on the World Cup DH circuit for years,” said Creative Director, Chris Currie. “The goal was to take everything we’ve done for tubeless technology, and put it into a truly bombproof and affordable wheel.” Designed according to Stan’s WideRight rim and tire fit system, S1 series wheelsets are available in six different rim models, with internal widths ranging from 23mm to 38mm. Combined with Stan’s low-profile, high-volume Bead Socket Technology rim design, these widths let the new S1 range accommodate tires from 2-inch to 3.5-inch. All S1 wheelsets are built with 32 spokes front and rear, Sapim’s proven Race spokes, Secure Lock brass nipples, and Stan’s faster-engaging Neo hubs. Hubs are available to fit most axle systems, including Boost. The S1 series includes reinforced versions of the classic Crest, Arch, and Flow--names already familiar to fans of Stan’s tubeless rims. In addition to the Crest S1, Arch S1, and Flow S1, three entirely new wider wheelsets will be available. The Sentry S1, Baron S1, and Major S1 bring Stan’s patented Bead Socket Technology to Plus bikes. Roval CLX 64 Front
$849.99 - $1,300.00 $900.00 - $1,300.00 Up to 6% Off
When we set out to create a wheelset built purely for speed, we wanted to make it more than just fast. Not that being fast wasn't a priority, but we were tired of wheels that only performed well in a straight line. In the end, we developed the CLX 64, the fastest wheel that we've ever tested. Not only is it the fastest in the tunnel, but its prestige has been verified with Gold Medals in the men's road race, time trial, and team time trial at the 2016 UCI World Championships. One of the first questions we get about the CLX 64 is, "Why 64mm instead of 65mm?" To put it simply, it's because 64mm simply tested faster than 65mm. One millimeter, that's how deep our testing goes. Having an in-house wind tunnel allows us to run every possible variation, and after two years of development, 80 variations in rim design, and nearly 300 hours studying tire and frame interactions in the Win Tunnel, we found 64mm to be the fastest iteration for normal riding conditions. In fact, it's even faster than the 80-plus-millimeter-deep wheels they were tested against. Being able to use a shape that's nearly 20mm shallower than the competition, yet just as low in drag, makes for a wheel that has drastically less side force and steering torque. This translates to less buffeting and more confidence in even the gustiest winds. Another positive of a shallower rim depth is the reduction in weight that follows using less material. Many deep carbon wheels feel "slow" due to their high inertia value. What's that? Inertia is the amount of force it takes to accelerate or decelerate, and wheels that are built around heavier rims lack the liveliness that many riders crave. Being over a half-a-pound lighter than the other wheels in its aero category, the CLX 64 accelerates, decelerates, and changes direction with less effort. The rim is not the only component of the CLX 64 that contributes to its aero prowess though, in order to create the fastest wheels, we focused on the wheels as a system, not just a rim with "other parts," and our Aero Flange (AF) hubs play a significant role. Designed completely in the Win Tunnel, our AF hubs feature an incredibly small frontal aero, without sacrificing stiffness, making them aerodynamically efficient. Taking the advantage a step further, these wheels were developed to work in harmony with modern-width 24C tires. The 21mm internal rim width spreads the tire out, in this case to 26C, making it seamlessly meet the rim. Not only does this create a system with low aerodynamic drag, but one that has exceptionally low rolling resistance and inspiring grip in the corners. And to make sure we checked all of the feature boxes, we also made the rim tubeless-ready. To top off the multitude of performance features of the rim, we chose the highest quality build components to pair the CLX 64 front with. Starting with DT Swiss Aerolite bladed spokes, which test faster than their round counterparts in the Win Tunnel, we hand-laced the 64 rim to our AF hubs that house CeramicSpeed's legendary bearings. Why hand-built? Machines make mistakes and mistakes aren't something we're ok with, so we have real people lace each wheel by hand. - Assembly Method: Hand-built - Brake Track Height: 12mm - Braking Surface: Carbon fiber - Extras: Roval padded wheelbag, Roval steel quick-release, Roval tubeless plugs and tubeless valve, SwissStop Black Prince brake pads - Front Hub: Roval AF1, CeramicSpeed bearings - Nipple Type: DT Swiss Pro Lock hexagonal - Rim Depth: 64mm - Rim Material: Carbon - Rim Type: Carbon clincher, 2Bliss Ready - Rim Width: 20.7mm internal, 29.9mm external - Spoke Count: 16 - Spoke Pattern: Radial - Spoke Type: DT Swiss Aerolite T-head - Weight: 695g

ENVE Composites SES 3.4 Disc ENVE Alloy Hub Wheelset
$2,299.99 - $2,550.00 $2,550.00 Up to 10% Off
ENVE's most well-rounded road wheelset, the SES 3.4 is a climber with an aero edge. It's just the right depth to cover steep grades at speed. Since its introduction in 2009, the Smart ENVE System 3.4 has established itself as ENVE's most versatile and consequently most popular carbon fiber aero road wheelset amongst road cyclists of all abilities. The new SES 3.4 is wider than its predecessor (27.5mm wide external, 21mm internal) to improve rolling resistance and improve aerodynamics for use with 25mm tires and is available in both rim and disc brake models. In addition to added width, the versatile and reliable nature of the SES 3.4 has been augmented by incorporating road tubeless tire compatibility. Road tubeless compatibility means improved rolling resistance, comfort, traction, and a reduced propensity for flat tires. Like all SES models, the SES 3.4 features dissimilar rim shapes and geometries between front and back wheels to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and rideability in variable weather conditions. The front rim is 38mm deep and shallower than the rear rim to aid in crosswind stability while the rear rim is 42mm deep and therefore improves overall airflow attachment. - Intended Use: Road - Inner Rim Width: 21mm - Aero Optimized Tire Size: 25c - Rim and Disc Brake Models Available - Tubeless Optimized; Tube Compatible DISC BRAKE TECHNOLOGIES GO FAST; STOP FAST: The SES 3.4 Disc features a disc brake-specific carbon fiber rim design. In other words, this is not simply a rim brake model with no brake track. Each SES Disc rim features a disc brake-specific laminate to ensure optimal performance on disc brake-equipped road, cyclocross, and triathlon bicycles. As a result of disc brake-specific engineering the SES 3.4 Disc is substantially lighter than its rim-brake counterpart but equally as stiff and impact resistant. This is accomplished because we are able to deploy the carbon fiber that previously served the requirements for heat management to now serve the requirements for stiffness and durability. Need to know: - Disc-specific construction with no brake tracks - Rims are lighter by 40-60g per rim - Impact resistance increased - Greater lateral stiffness TUBELESS COMPATIBLE SPEED, COMFORT, PROTECTION: Greater speed, comfort, grip and puncture resistance – what's not to like about road tubeless? With the selection of a high performance tire at the right pressure, you can achieve lower rolling resistance and more speed. Tubeless also allows you to run much lower tire pressures for far greater comfort, traction, and efficiency, especially over poor road surfaces and gravel, all without sacrificing speed. The potential for pinch flats and, with sealant, debris punctures is all but eliminated. ENVE recognized early that road tubeless technology is here to stay and we drew on our years of experience making the world's best mountain bike wheels to optimize the SES range for tubeless (excluding the current SES 4.5). With rims going wider and frames giving more tire clearance, the key aspects of bike design were aligned to make tubeless the best choice: wider rims make it easier to mount tubeless tires. Disc brakes add even more benefits for tubeless, typically allowing larger tires as well as removing issues of heat at the rim. Need to know: - Tubeless optimized design - Faster rolling - Higher grip - Greater comfort - Outstanding puncture resistance
